Go to Properties > Device Manager and you will be presented with a list of all the hardware that your system is using. You can do that by going to My Computer and right clicking anywhere on that window.
Another way to speed up your machine is by disabling the unused hardware on your system. MacOS has this TRIM function built in, but only works with official drives Apple supplies. To prevent that there is a technique called TRIM. Because of that there is a chance of SSD fails. Your system is creating temporary files and deleting them and creating new ones at the very same spot, then deleting those too and so on. 
There are also kits to replace the optical drive to a secondary hard drive, so you can have a smaller SSD for the OS and apps and some data and a bigger spinning one for storing photos and videos and other big data that does not need to be accessed too quickly.ītw, the biggest issue with SSD is that if you are keep overwriting the same memory cell, then that cell is degrading fast.
